OHS & R and Environment

At Urban Contractors we are continually upgrading our OHS & R and Environment management systems, and our staff and sub-contractors are committed to creating and maintaining a safe workplace.

Our safety record to date is excellent, with full occupational health and safety & rehabilitation and risk assessment procedures impressed upon all staff at each induction.

Safety issues are discussed regularly with staff. Safety is a permanent agenda item for our weekly staff meetings and issues of training, prevention, and concern are discussed at these meetings.

Environmental Protection
Urban Contractors hold an Environmental Protection licence issued by ACT Environment and follows the guidelines produced by ACT Environment.

Waste Management
It is a standard procedure at Urban Contractors to reuse & recycle materials to assist the Government in achieving their "No Waste" policy.
